The complete novels and short stories of Sherlock Holmes by A.C. Doyle and a scientific book about meditation,a topic I'm really obsessed with at the moment

Feels like a punch right into the face.Although I'm a huge fan of atmospheric, melodic and mid-tempo Black Metal like Forest of Fog etc.,I'm also a huge fan of fast BM like Tenebrosus,Infernal War,Marduk and others. When you're playing that fast you have to keep the production cleaner, otherwise you'd sacrifice a lot of power,so to speak,so I guess that's forgivable. The cover reminds me of the typical old school Thrash Metal albums from the 80s,nice one.

Since we had the same thread on Metalthrone and I'm always curious about what you guys are dealing with intellectually,I thought it would be a good idea to start a new one.
I'm reading Thomas Mann's "The Magic Mountain" and Slavoj Zizek's "Less than nothing" at the moment, which will take some time to finish

Going to join a local martial arts club next month to start my boxing and thaiboxing training again.Been rope skipping for some time now to improve my endurance and still working out with my good old kettlebells,so that getting into my beloved world of fighting wouldn't be that hard.Shit is about to get serious again

I also sucked at Math, because I had the same problem as Aidan. Also,I never understood what it all was used for,why I needed to do it.Almost always,it seemed that I had to solve mathematical problems just for the sake of it

Yeah, hehe,as it seems.I once too read a book about Frederick the Great and was amazed by how he kicked the asses of the french, russian and british (or was it austrian?) armies at the same time.An outstanding monarch, all in all

I wanted to do the same, but unfortunately all I found out was that my family came from East and West Prussia, that's it.How were you able to trace back your family tree until the 16th century?I'm curious

Gonna start "Black Sails" today.I recently came across it on Youtube (related videos seem to be quite useful sometimes) and since Ray Stevenson, whom I already liked in the series "Rome",is in it I decided to give it a try. They should produce more of those historical series in my opinion, histotainment,so to speak.A series dealing with the invasion and fight of the germanic tribes against Rome would be nice,or one about Warhammer.

Started to practice the "beginner's" exercises from John Petruccis "Rock Discipline" and damn,do my left hand and forearm hurt. Also,I'm thinking about playing drums again and searching for a band,as soon as I'm into it.Maybe I'll even record something after my guitar skills are decent, who knows.Or we'll start a von-tes allstar project and write songs ;).
What are you guys up to?What are you practicing?
