Unreqvited - Disquiet

This is quite good. Atmospheric black metal. I don't like the way the vocals are presented though, they're more of a punctuation mark instead of being present for any consistent amount of time.

Urfaust - Meditatum VI

I thought their new album was way too conventional (which is something it pains me to say about an Urfaust record), with the exception of this track. Great closer. They just announced a new split, too.

barren harvest - claw and feather

a collaborative project between two musicians from atriarch and worm ouroboros. the music is dark folk with a bit of a post-punk influence. impressive.

like havok said, they're really dense, at least the first one is, since he pretty much dumps a metric fuckton of information onto you and you have to sink or swim. i tried giving the audiobook a shot, but that was even worse since there's no backtracking necessarily. it's rewarding though once you get a foothold. the portion where he introduces the mages and the bridgeburners (near the beginning, kind of) is probably the easiest part to get acclimated, at least for me it was. you'll see what i mean if/when you pick up the books.
tl;dr, totes oughta get on it.

I love books that make you work for it.  First I need means of production, then get books.
