My steam is lucienmith, I play mostly shootem-killems and casual-ish games. Bought overwatch 2 days ago but haven't played a match yet. Already have like 60 hours in the 10/10 nu-doom though.

All i've been playing lately is Dragon Age: Inquisition. It's alright, it's occupied my interest longer than anything else i've played recently. I tried to get into Planescape: Torment, but the widescreen mod doesn't really work so I gave up on it, which I guess is sort of stupid.

Pillars of Eternity is really good, too.

I want nu-Doom but lack capable hardware.

I have Awful McBad on Steam, but that's it.

I've been considering re-downloading my Borderlands collection, but I don't know if my current laptop can handle it (was a gift from someone who knows dick about computers, should have seen it coming).  If I get them working though I'd be happy to steal everyone's kills and loot.

I used to fuck shit up on L4D.  That was back in the Xbox Live days though.

If you get it on PC, get L4D2, it has the L4D1 campaigns in it.

I know.  I had all of the old campaigns on my Xbox version as well.

Death Toll was my jam.

Idtech 6 is actually p much a miracle engine. What's your current hardware? I wouldn't be surprised if you could pull like 30fps at least at 720 and with some options turned down.

My problem with vidya on the PC is that I'm completely OCD about framerates. I was running a flawless 80+ in Doom on ultra-nightmare quality, then one poorly optimized view of a door that probably has some rendering cracks or something dropped me to 52 so I had to set a fps cap immediately. Looking back to when I assembled my computer, I was pretty naive, but I really expected to pull at least a flawless 60 at 1080p for literally any game I tried with a 4790k and GTX 980ti. I haven't been able to do that with a game by Ubisoft since Far Cry 4. Though 60 is the goal, or higher if my gpu can manage it, anything above 40 is p much playable. Though it varies from game engine to game engine.

Anyone else possibly considering thinking about diving in for a 1070 or 1080? I'm going to try to hold out for the 1080ti, assuming i can afford it. Should probably upgrade cpu as higher priority though.
