I'll open anything up for better photos if anyone wants a peak at something.
Vinyl
Cassette
let's just link an imgur album to save space unless you want to resize everything to like 500x500

I'll have to wait until I get back to Arizona before I post mine, but most of my collection consists of CDs. I'm planning on starting to expand my tape collection since tapes are so inexpensive, but ironically I haven't any money right now.

Jelly of those Lord Wind and AFOS records. Do you have any criteria for what you purchase on vinyl?

Gotta get Joel back here, he has a shitload of tapes.

I only have one tape at the moment, but I've been getting into them a lot more lately, especially after how we recorded our stuff.  I plan on starting a collection, but I need to actually go get something that will play them first.  Never bothered with vinyl, though.  It always just seemed like an expensive novelty to me.

My CD collection's gotten pretty big over the years, but I haven't bought anything in a while.

I have a pile of Cd's maybe I'll just take one picture of them.

I don't really have any particular rhyme or reason it's a really random collection. Some are cheap some are rare some just make me look cool. If I had the means I would buy all the records

Same, pretty much.  Most of the releases I REALLY want I don't have because they're rare and expensive.  Will personally blow anyone who gets me Dans la foret...

I've got neither tapes, nor vinyl, untrve poser that I am.There was a time when I planned to get a vinyl player for the sake of the atmosphere concerning the music itself, but I really don't know if I could tell the difference between a CD or vinyl album

Tape is what you want for added atmosphere.  The added fuzz is magical.

Man vinyl is definitely better quality you can hear the difference very quickly. In comparison digital is just hollow

I don't do vinyl so much any more, primarily because my lifestyle makes it impractical, and secondly because it's turning into something of a gimmick and almost like an excuse to chuck around seven different "limited" DLP pressings for $25 each when the material in reality is just a twenty minute EP.

Fuck, Urfaust just put out a split 12" LP that has only TWO songs on it and clocks in at about fifteen minutes.

It's oversaturation of the market, but I guess as long as it doesn't affect me, I don't have much room to bitch.

I think tapes will always be acceptable though, because of how inexpensive they are to manufacture and distribute. And like Knightfall said, the fuzz is a nice factor.

it is indeed irritating sifting through the thousands of redundant pressings of various singles, EPs, compilations etc. really not worth putting less than an hour of material on wax. unless you're a kike or a consumerist, obsessive drone like probably a lot of us

Vinyls are supposed to be sounding better than in digital format but in reality it really depends on your audio set. Vinyl sales being the point of revival scene, I made an effort to get more of them but I need gear upgrade to get the benefit out of it. I love cassette tapes to listen to black metal or doomy death.

i have Yamaha NS(how fitting)-10M Studio monitors. my dad handed them down to me but they're still worth like $600. very high quality. this particular set has been going since the 80s so they're getting a little wonky

I see, the gears weren't mass produced back then they tend to be of good quality. I regret throwing out my family's old Pioneer (also from the 80s) before I got into collecting vinyls.

Your collection is really diverse but should make a killer grinding playlist.
You bought the Star Wars record yourself?

Here are my tapes I could gather from the nearest shelf so far, mostly intense underground dm.
The box set though is a little different. It's a collection of speed/thrash demo from Quebec city, bands like Voivod, Outrage and Obliveon.
